Berlin black artificial Christmas tree

The Berlin black artificial tree and its deliberate look

The Berlin black artificial Christmas tree is not a compromise. Where a green tree absorbs decoration, black does the opposite: it pushes every colour forward. That makes it an obvious centrepiece in a pared-back interior, a shop window or a reception area.

A 180 cm artificial Christmas tree

At 180 cm, the Berlin fits under a standard ceiling with room for a topper, and carries enough branches for all your Christmas decorations. The foliage is dense and the cone even — which matters more on a dark colour, since gaps show far more against black than against green.

Why choose a black Christmas tree?

Because black absorbs light rather than reflecting it. Gold, silver, copper and glass read more sharply than on a green tree, and each point of a warm white string stands out individually instead of blending into the branches. It is the effect shop windows are after, and it works just as well in a living room.

Add the practical side: no needles on the floor, no watering, no upkeep. It arrives boxed, assembles in sections in minutes and folds flat after the holidays.

How to decorate it

Stick to one metallic and white. Gold brings warmth and presence, silver a cooler, more contemporary feel. Avoid piling on colours: against black, that turns busy quickly. Favour glass baubles — gloss is what shows best on this foliage — and leave some branches bare.
