Ready before the tree on the Grote Markt
Winter in Antwerpen opens on 4 December
The Christmas market, the ice rink on the Groenplaats and the trees on the Grote Markt mark the official start of December in Antwerp. That is the benchmark: by the time the city raises its own, yours is already up in the living room. We deliver on the Tuesdays and Thursdays before — and until 20 December.
Last season, half of our Antwerp deliveries went to five postcodes — the historic centre and het Zuid first, then Zurenborg, Berchem, 't Noord and het Kiel, out to the green belt of Schilde and Brasschaat.

On the day itself, as soon as the previous delivery is done and he sets off to you.

The city collects Christmas trees in January
This is the question that stops an Antwerp flat from buying a real tree. The answer fits in one line: during January the city collects Christmas trees free of charge, on the same day as your household waste. You put the tree out against the façade, and that's it. Nothing to book with us.
- Free — included in the city's collection service.
- In January, on your usual collection day; neighbourhoods with sorting streets are included too.
- Plastic-free — no decorations left on it and no plastic pot.
- Or to the recycling park, free of charge and by appointment, if you miss the collections.
A root ball thicker than a fist counts as chargeable bulky waste: in a flat, the cut tree is the trouble-free choice. Outside the city of Antwerp — Brasschaat, Schilde, Zoersel, Mechelen — collection depends on your intermunicipal waste company and its calendar. Service run by the city, independently of Sapins.be.
Payment
Your tree with your eco-vouchers
A natural Christmas tree is a living product, which places it in the categories covered by the Belgian eco-voucher. You can pay for all or part of your order with your electronic Pluxee, Edenred or Monizze eco-vouchers, with no special steps — you simply select that payment method at checkout.
If your vouchers don't cover the full amount, you top it up with another payment method. Secure payment; delivery costs are calculated at checkout based on your postcode.

When do you deliver in Antwerp?
In Flanders we deliver on Tuesdays and Thursdays, until 20 December. That makes eight dates for the whole city, and December slots fill up from November onwards: book early, or in October with the pre-order discount.
What do I do with the tree after the holidays?
In the city of Antwerp collection is free in January, on the same day as your household waste: the tree goes out against the façade, with no decorations and no plastic pot. Otherwise you can drop it at the recycling park free of charge, by appointment. Exact dates are published every year on the city's collection calendar.
Cut or potted for a flat?
Cut. In the city, a root ball thicker than a fist counts as chargeable bulky waste. A potted tree makes sense if you have a garden to replant it in — move it out of the heat gradually and plant it as soon as you can.
Will my tree drop its needles?
The Nordmann is chosen precisely for that: its needles stay on. And we cut to the rhythm of the orders — your tree hasn't spent three weeks on a car park. A water-reservoir stand keeps it fresh even longer.
Do I need to be there for the delivery?
Yes, so the driver can put the tree where you want it. The email the day before at 5pm gives your time window, and a text lets you know on the day as soon as the driver sets off.
What if I live on an upper floor with no lift?
That's daily life for our drivers in the centre and on het Zuid. Give the floor at checkout: the tree goes up with them, still in its netting, and is only unwrapped once in the room.
Do you deliver to shops, offices and hospitality?
Yes, large formats included. We regularly deliver to shops, offices and reception areas in Antwerp and the surrounding municipalities.
